Dressed in men’s clothes, she led her soldiers to war against the British. Even her enemies admired her courage and daring. She fought valiantly and although beaten she refused to surrender and fell as a warrior should, fighting the enemy to the last. Her remarkable courage inspired many men and women in India to rise against the alien rule.

  3. I really idolize the courage that Rani Lakshmibai portrayed during the British rule. She is definitely a role model for many Indian women. The Rani had a lion’s spirit within her. In this day and age we definitely need many such brave souls.

    Rani Lakshmi Bai became a national heroine and was seen as the epitome of female bravery in India. When the Indian National Army created its first female unit, it was named after her.
